A Brooklyn Oasis

Inspired by nature, beauty, love, positivity, and spirituality, Laura Benko founded The Holistic Home Company (THHC) in 2014. Originally, the business began as a homemade goods for family members during the holidays but has grown into a flagship wellness center in the heart of Brooklyn. Driven by sourcing the highest quality, purest ingredients and materials that are imbued with positive energy, each item is encouraged to be used with specific intentions in order to add more balance to one’s lifestyle. The Holistic Home Company represents a philosophy of living through connecting to one’s space and self in ways that are more meaningful, conscious, and all-inclusive of every aspect of physicality, emotionality, and spirituality.

Unfortunately, Benko opened her physical store just a few weeks before COVID-19 hit in 2020 and was subsequently forced to shut her doors– right after opening them. After the forced and utterly unexpected closure, Benko and her team at THHC moved to developing online classes in Mind, Body, Spirit and Space topics, along with their previous online sales of their classic products. For a brand new brick-and-mortar store, survival can never be guaranteed, especially in the uncertain times that it was forced to start in. Thankfully, the community pulled through by supporting the small business, allowing it to reopen when so many other companies were unable to. The BedStuy/Clinton Hill neighborhood responded warmly to the offerings of THHC which aimed to serve the community with affordable yoga classes, countless online classes, and remote services. There are also services of massage, lymphatic drainage, acupuncture, and product lines with divisions of Beauty, Wellness, Home Goods, Candles, Canine, Teas, Herbal Adaptogens, and books.

Now, the physical oasis of The Holistic Home Company is back, one could even claim it is better than ever. The space’s aura is wonderful, created by activating not only the visual sense but also the burning candles and incense that aid in brightening the space. The sense of touch there is activated by  services of massage, lymphatic drainage, acupuncture, and product lines with divisions of Beauty, Wellness, Home Goods, Candles, Canine, Teas, Herbal Adaptogens, and books, for mental stimulation and learning about the company’s mission to elevate one’s wellness. Each room is carefully designed and a visit to The Holistic Home Company is guaranteed to ease any tension and provide more positivity in each visitor’s life.
